Footpath Closure

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by West Sussex County Council under the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and which originally came into force on 4 August 2025, with the
consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 31 March 2027
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to major on-going construction works
including high voltage cabling, demolition, groundworks and commissioning of a new electricity
sub-station in relation to a multi-phase residential development.
The effect of the order remains unchanged and is to close sections of:-
(i) Public Footpath No. 1501, from its junction with Horsham Road (520502.852,
137058.964) to its junction with East Street (520861.568, 137219.357); and
(ii) Public Footpath No. 1502, from its junction with Horsham Road
(520555.413, 137210.687) to its junction with Public Footpath No. 1568
(521085.359, 136741.430)
Unfortunately, there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
